Hi, I'm Kia.
I design learning experiences that make complex information clear, practical, and easier to use on the job.
I am an instructional designer who's spent 10+ years helping people learn what really matters in their world and profession—designing learning experiences for complex, regulated environments across the healthcare, higher education, government, and corporate industries.
A practical, collaborative process built around what learners need to do—not just what they need to know.
I simplify the complicated.
If a learner is lost, that's a design problem—not a learner problem. My job is to take something dense and make it land.
I design with the end in mind.
I start with the end goal—what someone needs to do, decide, or change—and work backward into the learning that gets them there.
I build alongside the experts.
I partner closely with SMEs, faculty, corporate teams, and military personnel to translate deep expertise into training that actually fulfills the need.
I design for all learners.
I apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to accommodate different learning needs, preferences, and abilities—so content is accessible, engaging, and effective for everyone.
